The Black Pig is the domesticated native pig of the Mediterranean with traces of its breed in Greece reaching up to 5,500 BC. according to archeological findings. Fotiadis Farm has patented the method of raising black pigs fed with olives based diet, creating an innovative product with global uniqueness.Olive based diet gives a unique aroma and taste to pork while increasing its content in the beneficial for the human body Ω3 and Ω6 fats. In a special analysis of Ε.Κ.Ε.Τ.Α. they found 5,700% more Ω3-Ω6, 335% more polyphenols, 110% more iron and 540% less intramuscular fat than conventional pork.
