About the product:  The Grevena region is exclusively mountainous with lush forests and rich biodiversity. The cultivation of chickpeas dates back to the 18th century. At an altitude of over 670 meters, in a variety of soils ranging from heavy clay to light sandy with a pH of 6-8, the small-seeded chickpeas of Grevena, of the Greek varieties Amorgos and Thebes, are grown. They are well adapted to the area's microclimate. These are dryland spring crops cultivated with mild farming practices and respect for the environment. They have a thin skin and are delicious with a rich, earthy flavor.

Soaking time: 16 – 24 hours.

Cooking time: 75 – 90 minutes (pot)

60 – 75 minutes in the pot and 20 minutes in the preheated oven (for baking)

Cooking methods: Baking, Salad, Soup, Appetizer, Pâté, Chickpea Fritters, Snack, Boiling – Freezing and then use, Roasted Chickpeas.

Over the company: We're now in the third generation of our family, happily living in Kastoria and working all over Greece where there are many small family farms.
