How to choose your delivery

Add products and go to Cart page
Add your favorite Greek products to your cart that you want to be delivered to you. You can choose from more than 800 Greek products from our online supermarket.

Select a delivery option and fill in your code
You can select two delivery options if you are located in the Netherlands, Evening Delivery and Morning Delivery. If you are located in Germany or Belgium you can select European Shipping. If you select 'Delivery by Bakaliko' or Evening Delivery for Belgium you have to enter your Dutch/Belgian postal code to check coverage. If you select 'Evening Delivery' you can also select a date of delivery!

If you choose 'Delivery by Bakaliko' or 'Evening Delivery' you can select the date of your delivery. Without selecting a delivery date it is not possible to proceed to checkout. Feel always free to contact us if the dates do not suit you!
How " Delivery by Bakaliko" works

Place an order
You place your order and you can choose the date of delivery. You receive an email confirming the date of delivery you have chosen. In your 'My Account' page you can view the progress of your order and if needed change your order or postpone your delivery it without any penalty.

One day before delivery
One day before your selected date of delivery, you will receive a confirmation via email that the delivery is taking place the next day. At this point you can use our unavailability feature to state (if necessary) which hours you won't be available the date of delivery (the next day).

At day of delivery
At the day of delivery you receive the expected time of delivery via email. When your dedicated driver is on the way you receive a second email and an SMS with live tracking information and a map where you can track your delivery live. At all times you will be shared the number of your delivery agent in case anything unexpected occurs.

Evening Delivery
All orders are shipped via our warehouse in Zwanenburg, NL. We handover your order to our external partner approximately 6-8 hours before you receive it so that you receive it as quickly as possible. The deliveries start at 17:00 and finish at 22:00 every working day. Some days due to heavy traffic there can be a slight delay.
Delivery Speed
We do not have cut off times like other eshops. So it does not matter what time you place your order. With evening delivery you will receive your order 2 days after you place your order. Example: If you order on Monday (any time), the earliest you can choose for a delivery date is Wednesday.

Coverage all of NL and Belgium (Flanders).
Orders that are not possible to be delivered (customer is not at home or cannot be delivered to neighbour) can only be re-sent with a second full charge (only frozen orders)
Safety of transport
At Bakaliko, we understand how important it is for our customers to receive their frozen products in perfect condition. This is why when we ship your order via external partners (e.g. Trunkrs) and if your order contains frozen products, we use food-grade dry ice sachets to ensure that your products remain frozen throughout the entire transport. You can order both dry and refrigerated products.

FAQ
'Bakaliko delivery' is no longer available for my location. Why is that?
First of all please check if your city falls within the cities mentioned in the table above in this page or an area between them. If it does or is closeby please get in touch and we will update our system to include your location. With the new delivery system, which is based in grouping orders so as to keep the delivery costs as competitive as possible for our customers, we had to exclude certain remote regions in the Netherlands with a lower number of orders. Yet these areas are covered by our 'Evening Delivery' option. This method covers all of the Netherlands except the Waddeneilanden and de Kaag.
If your location used to be covered by Bakaliko deliveries and is no longer covered, you will have to choose alternative shipping options such as our 'Evening Delivery' option or 'European Shipping'.
For 'European Shipping' in particular there is a limitation. Your order must not contain refrigerated/frozen products and should also exceed the minimum order value. We understand that this might be inconvenient for some of our customers so we would like to keep an open channel of communication. Please do not hesitate to contact us to explore alternatives options.
My location is outside the delivery zones. Can I still order?
If you are located outside the delivery zones and you would still like to order with us you can choose either 'Evening Delivery' (supports also refrigerated orders) or 'European Shipping' (with the latter you can not include refrigerated/frozen products in your order - shipping carrier requirement).
Why can I only select a few days per week for 'Delivery by Bakaliko'?
There are multiple factors that affect the available days of delivery for your location such as the general demand in and around your area, the availability of our fleet, the particular delivery schedule of the week and other unique conditions. If the dates do not suit you or if you have a specific request please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. Alternatively you can always choose our 'Evening Delivery' option which is available every working day and has a very small delivery time too.
The available days for my location do not suit me. Any alternatives?
If the delivery dates available to your area do not suit you (for example only 1 day is available for your location and you won't be available at that day) or you do not want to choose 'Evening Delivery' option or if you have a specific request, do not hesitate to get in touch with us and we will try to find an alternative for your case.
Can I get express, next-day delivery for my order?
You can always choose our 'Evening Delivery' option which is available every working day and has a very small delivery time too (2 days). Please contact us if you need even faster delivery or if it is urgent. We will be happy to help you.
Can I pick up my order in one of the Bakaliko physical stores?
It depends per store. In our Amsterdam store, unfortunately, due to limitations in space we do not offer order pick-ups. If order pick-up is available you will be able to see the relevant option in your cart before checkout.
Can I also choose the time of my delivery?
At the moment it is not possible to choose the time of delivery while placing your order but if you choose 'Delivery by Bakaliko' one(1) day before the chosen delivery date you will be notified to state your availability or unavailability for delivery in specific timeslots, this is some sense is like choosing your timeslot. This way you can control which hours are convenient for you.
If you choose 'Evening Delivery' you will receive a time estimation during the day of delivery but you cannot choose a time upfront.
My Dutch postal code is not recognized for 'Delivery by Bakaliko'
This can be due to multiple reasons (new postal code, outdated postcode list, unsupported location). If your location is in the viscinity of a city mentioned in the table above and your postal code is not recognized then please get in touch with us via the contact form and we will remedy that immediately.
