About the product: Apaki is a traditional Cretan smoked and salted meat, made with lean pork marinated in mix of mountainous herbs and extra virgin olive oil. This apaki is smoked through a slow and natural process bringing out all of the aromas of the wood used to smoke it.

Instructions: Cretan apaki is the ideal meze to serve in a charcuterie platter or simply by itself and it brings to your home all the aromas of the Cretan Land.

Apaki is for the food lovers

Beautiful smoked flavors! I know that it can be eaten as is (meze) but my favorite is to combine it with 'fasolada' (Greek white bean soup) when the weather is cold or roast it lightly and use it as a topping on pasta together with lots of ground 'kefalotyri' (greek salty yellow cheese) all year round!
It needs to be left out of the refrigerator and the wrapping for a couple of hours to come to room temperature and have all the aromas develop.
