Vinification: Fermentation in French oak vats and aging in 200% new tight-grain French oak barriques for 24 months and bottle aging for another 24 months.

Crafted for extended aging, this organic wine is produced from select Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes, both renowned international varieties. Our vineyard is meticulously chosen, featuring venerable, low-yielding vines.

Tasting characteristics: This wine presents an inky purple hue with vibrant violet accents. Its bouquet exudes fruity notes of blackberry and blackcurrant, intertwined with the spiciness of black pepper, chocolate, sandalwood, and subtle hints of caramel. On the palate, it delivers a robust experience with velvety tannins, a rich tapestry of flavors featuring berries, coffee, and sweet spices, culminating in a long and intricate aftertaste.
Goes with: Wild game, smoked charcuterie and cheese.

Aging potential: Keep at least for 5-15 years

The Winery: In 1996, Tsililis family has created an icon vineyard.

The purpose was to revive the vineyard of Meteora that had lost its glory and eminence after phylloxera in the early 20th century.

Today, the vineyard of Theopetra Estate covers 15 hectares situated in the east of Meteora, on hilly slopes around the prehistoric cave of Theopetra.

The rationale behind the creation of this vineyard is the highlighting of the particularities of the region, the revival of rare Greek grape varieties and

the production of wines that respect the natural environment and the consumer.

Protected Geographical Indication METEORA Wine. The people of Theopetra Estate, having a vision of highlighting the regional wine culture, contributed decisively to the recognition of the term "Protected Geographical Indication Meteora" featuring a particular category of wines. The wines belonging to this category are made from grapes of strictly defined varieties grown in selected low-yield vineyards and vinified under specific conditions. The result is high quality wines with a character representative of the terroir of the region of Meteora.
