About the winery: Hailing from the historic region of Nemea and raised among the vines, Thanasis Gatsinos chose to continue and evolve his family’s winemaking legacy by bringing fresh vision to their privately owned vineyards. In 2012, he took the bold step of founding his own winery, transforming a spacious old storage building once used for various farm purposes—and even as a chicken coop—into a fully functioning winery.
During the renovation, only one item remained by chance: a half-broken ladder. This simple object, a silent witness to the past, became a symbol of the winery’s beginnings. It now proudly features on the label of "Scala"—the winery’s most beloved wine to date—serving as a lasting reminder of its humble start and the first steps of an exciting new journey.
