About the product: A Greek cheese made with a rich combination of sheep and goat's milk, named after the Greek shepherd's winter cape. Its flavour is a delicate balance of salty and sweet, with a distinctive mint note which makes it unique. Similar to Cypriot Halloumi, when cooked, it retains its shape whilst developing a melt-in-the-mouth texture. The distinctive round shape of the cheese is inspired by the traditional woven baskets this cheese was once made in. Made in Greece using entirely Greek milk.

About the company: EPIRUS SA is one of the largest cheese-producing companies in Greece with a state-of-the-art production and packaging unit, in the region of Epirus, in Ammotopos, Arta. The company’s production capacity and methods, its consistent investment in technology, research & development, plus an innovative spirit combined with in depth knowledge and experience of tradition, guarantee the excellent quality of EPIRUS products.

Instructions: It is best eaten grilled or sautéed since it then acquires a “melt in the mouth texture”.
