About the product: "To Vouno" produced in the island of Zakynthos, Greece (P.G.I. Protected Georgraphic Indication) is an extra virgin olive oil of excellent quality and is considered an unrefined oil since it’s not treated with chemicals or altered by temperature. What sets it apart is the low level of oleic acid and the absence of sensory flaws. It contains no more than 1% oleic acid and typically has a golden-green color, with a distinct flavor and a light peppery finish.

Another distinction for olive oil "VOUNO" at the Berlin World Olive Oil Competition - BERLIN GOOC 2021. We are proud that for the second year in a row the olive oil of mountainous Zakynthos is awarded in a global Olive Oil Competition for its quality.
About the company: Since 1971, five families in the village of Agios Leon that have inherited from their ancestors the valuable knowledge of olive oil cultivation and production, cooperate and innovate. Every bottle of “Vouno” is the result of this long lasting cooperation and utilisation of our factory’s modern facilities. But above all, the extra virgin olive oil “Vouno” is representing the heart of the mountainous countryside. The gathering is taking place exclusively in the mountains of Zakynthos having as a result the differentiation of the olive oil in terms of rich taste and nutritious elements. This is the story of the “Eleotriveio Vouno” (Mountain – Olive Oil Press).
